Al-Arafah Islami Bank Holds Day-long Workshop on Ready-Made Garments Financing

A day-long workshop on “Ready-Made Garments (RMG) Financing” was held at Al-Arafah Islami Bank.

On Saturday (8 November), the workshop was organized to enhance the skills and knowledge of the bank’s RMG and export-related officers.

The Managing Director (Acting) of the bank, Mr. Rafat Ullah Khan, attended the training workshop as the chief guest. Also present was the Deputy Managing Director of the bank, Abdullah Al-Mamun.

Chief guest Rafat Ullah Khan said that the ready-made garments (RMG) sector plays a highly important and promising role in Bangladesh’s economy. He urged the bank’s officers to take initiatives to expand the RMG business, implement effective measures for collecting overdue and classified investments, and ensure maximum attention to transparency, efficiency, and Shariah-compliant policies in customer service.

He further stated that investing in the RMG sector not only increases the bank’s profits but also contributes significantly to earning foreign currency for the country, generating extensive employment, and promoting overall economic growth.

The workshop was chaired by Mr. Abdur Rahim Duwari, Principal of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute (AIBITI), with the bank’s top executives in attendance.

A total of 56 officers involved in the RMG and export-related sectors participated in the training workshop.
