ABM Abdus Sattar, Director of Rupali Bank PLC and Private Secretary to Begum Khaleda Zia, has been appointed as the Chief National Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts.
The National Headquarters of Bangladesh Scouts issued a notification in this regard recently.
A former secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, ABM Abdus Sattar, currently serves as the Chairman of the Board Executive Committee of Rupali Bank PLC and the General Secretary of the Officers’ Club.
Throughout his distinguished career in civil service, he earned widespread recognition for his integrity, efficiency, and strong leadership qualities.
During his tenure in public administration, Sattar successfully served in several key ministries and departments, receiving commendations for his dedication and performance.
Beyond his administrative roles, he has long been involved in social service, humanitarian activities, and youth leadership development. His commitment to nurturing moral values, leadership, and humanitarian spirit among young people through the scouting movement has been particularly well-regarded.
Officials from Bangladesh Scouts have expressed optimism that his experience and visionary leadership will bring new momentum to the scouting movement.
They believe his administrative acumen and passion for community service will help strengthen and expand the organization’s activities nationwide.
As an active member of the Officers’ Club, Sattar continues to engage in various development and welfare initiatives. In his capacity as a director of Rupali Bank, he also plays a key role in advancing financial inclusion in the banking sector.
