A strategic agreement has been signed between the country’s leading Shariah-based financial institution, Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, and Shamadhan Services Limited, a subsidiary of Grameen Telecom.

Through this agreement, the scope of digital financial services for both parties will be further expanded, enabling customers to access financial services more easily, quickly, and securely.

The signing ceremony was held on Wednesday (October 22) at the bank’s head office.

At the event, S.M. Abu Zafar, Deputy Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, and Dr. Ahmad Arman Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of Shamadhan Services, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Also present at the event were Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Head of MFS & Digital Banking of the bank, and from Shamadhan: Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Chief Operating Officer; Md. Salah Uddin Tanvir, Head of Product & Pricing; and A.B.M. Saiful Bari, Head of Business & Strategy, along with other senior officials from both organizations.

This strategic partnership reflects Al-Arafah Islami Bank’s continued commitment to developing innovative Shariah-based digital services and expanding financial inclusion across all levels of society.
